Reader in Transdisciplinary Design Innovation

Elio's research explores design vocabularies for thinking about ethical and social issues in the sciences. He is co-author of Design as Future-Making, a book exploring design’s relationship with sociology, anthropology and political science, and Creative Encounters, which examines collaborations between designers, educators and scientists. His contribution to practice-based design research has been recognised with the acquisition of his projects in the permanent Design collection of MoMA in New York. Elio has consulted to global clients including Mattel, Orange and LG Electronics.
