The Master of Research (M.Res) is a pioneering interdisciplinary postgraduate research degree offered across all schools at The Glasgow School of Art.
In addition to participating in a dynamic and vibrant research community, students will design and undertake their own independent research inquiries (either practice-based or theoretical) that seek to address contextually located social, cultural, political, technological and environmental challenges.
The programme is a dedicated space for students to undertake a research project at postgraduate level, or for creative practitioners who wish to develop their research practice in a specific context.
Due to Covid-19 and ongoing government restrictions, the MRes Research Training Programme, Seasonal Schools, and meetings amongst supervisory teams will take place remotely through teleconferencing platforms such a Zoom. Students will be able to access the Library through an online booking system.
New students can find more information on our Pre-Enrolment Gateway, and continuing students on the GSA Student Intranet, Canvas, email and e-bulletins, and staff on the GSA Staff Intranet, email and e-bulletins.
