Lecturer in Research Methods and Design Innovation

A designer, educator and entrepreneur, Mafalda has an international and interdisciplinary background that combines design, innovation, management, professional training and higher education. Her research interests include pedagogical methods that bridge knowledge between disciplines, visual research tools and embodied learning. Her current research looks at how to introduce theories of complexity in teaching design innovation. At the Innovation School, Mafalda delivers courses on Design Ethnography and Research Methods, alongside tutoring and facilitating studio feedback sessions.
